Think beyond your circumstances!

‘Where you are, is not who you are’ -circumstances.   N .W.

This is one of my favourite pieces of poetry. I asked myself a question this week, a question I have asked myself over and over.

‘What do you really want?

This can be about a thousand things, your love life, career, faith, finances, mental health, friendships...anything.
My question to you is, what are your dreams? What do you genuinely aspire to be/do? Don't think about what your parents need or want you to be. Don't think about proving your worth to those who doubted you or the low thoughts you have of yourself when your mental health cannot support you. Think about what you want. This is all.

When we ask ourselves these questions, without knowing, there can a mental barrier that we subconsciously tap into...our circumstances.

If I think about a number of famous people  that have achieved epic things, I often come to find out about their background. Lack of money growing up, abuse, depression, a heap load of rejection...the list can go on. On the other hand, there are those who you think, yeah they have it easy however no matter how pleasant ones life can appear, what we have in common are challenges of some sort.

Not everyone’s story is like this but we often have a ‘thing’ going on that blocks ourselves from being the ‘true’ version if ourselves. But we persist. We push. We adapt and get creative, why? We do so because we can overcome and obstacles are not permanent. I have always learnt that life is a whole heap of phases, periods of time and temporary experiences that gradually phase out as we grow into who we truly are. Like they say, we learn and grow everyday.

If you think you aren’t growing or feel this way. I dare you to challenge your circumstance. Change your environment. Do something that appeals to you and not others or your circumstances. Stick a leg into the water and get wet. Think outside the box. Take a step outside of your circumstance.

I hope it is better than you expected.

Love
